The brief
Trials run on data nobody can afford to get wrong
The client is a global clinical research organisation. In that setting software is not a convenience layer, it is where trial integrity actually lives: whether a participant completed the right assessment, whether a reading came from a certified room, whether a number in a report can be traced back to its source.
Three separate problems came out of that. Participants were being asked to complete a complex web experience. Trial data sat in several systems at once, so reporting was manual and slow. And site certification, deciding that a room, a device and an examiner are cleared to produce study data, ran on spreadsheets.
Three platforms, one requirement underneath all of them: data you can defend.
The build
Accessibility as a data-quality decision
The ePRO module is the clearest case of the pattern. A trial's data quality depends on participants completing assessments correctly and on time, and participants in a trial are not a uniform audience. Translating the web experience into simple, accessible mobile flows was not a cosmetic exercise, it is the mechanism by which compliance rates and data accuracy went up.
The same logic runs through the other two. Unifying scattered data into one lake removes the reconciliation step where reporting errors are introduced. Moving site certification off Excel removes the redundant re-certification that happens when nobody can be sure what was already cleared.
Wow Labz designed and developed all three, plus the operational reporting interfaces on top: dense tabular detail and time series in one view, built for teams who need to find the exception rather than read the average.
