At a glance

What the portal handles

2jobs

Performance monitoring for campaign runners, and resolution of reports raised by users.

Bothindividuals and organisations

Campaigns are run by both, and the portal monitors either.

Cryptodonations

Funds raised and donated in crypto, on chain.

Oversightnot an afterthought

On an open fundraising platform the moderation surface is the trust mechanism.

The brief

Open fundraising needs someone watching

Camly Charity is a social platform on blockchain where anyone can create a campaign, raise funds and donate in crypto. Openness is the product: the point is that a cause does not need an institution's permission to ask.

Which is also the risk. A platform where anyone can solicit money from strangers attracts exactly the behaviour you would expect, and on chain settlement removes the chargeback that protects a donor elsewhere. The oversight layer is not administrative overhead here, it is what makes the open model survivable.

On chain donations do not reverse. That makes the moderation surface the only protection a donor has.

The build

The unglamorous half of a consumer platform

Wow Labz's scope here was specifically the admin portal rather than the consumer platform, and that is a more interesting brief than it sounds. Public fundraising products live or die on trust, and trust is produced almost entirely by the back-office nobody sees: how quickly a report is triaged, whether a campaign's performance is actually being watched.

The portal brings both into one surface. Campaign performance for individual and organisational fundraisers, and the resolution queue for reports raised by users, handled by the same team in the same place.

The platform itself is a first of its kind: a blockchain social network for fundraising, where campaigns are created, funds raised and donations made in crypto.

What was built

Monitor and resolve

Performance monitoring

Visibility into how campaigns are performing, for both the individuals and the organisations running them, in one place rather than per campaign.

Report resolution

Platform users raise reports, and the portal is where they get worked through. That loop is the difference between a moderation policy and moderation.

Built for the operators

This is the staff-facing half of a consumer platform, so the measure is throughput for the team using it every day rather than polish.

Questions

The admin portal, answered

What is Camly Charity?

A first of its kind social media platform on blockchain where people create campaigns, raise funds and donate with crypto.

What did Wow Labz build?

The admin portal: performance monitoring for the individuals and organisations running campaigns, plus resolution of reports raised by platform users.

Why is the admin portal the important piece?

Because on an open fundraising platform trust is produced in the back office. On chain donations do not reverse, so how fast a report gets triaged and whether campaigns are genuinely being monitored is the donor's only protection.

Who uses it?

The platform's own operations team, monitoring campaigns run by both individuals and organisations and working through user-raised reports.
