Impact and results
What shipping it changed
The app launched inside Emaar's tight deadline, which was itself part of the mandate.
Disparate property services unified into a single experience instead of a channel each.
Service requests, construction updates, digital handover, home services and payments.
Built as a feature-rich native iOS application.
The brief
Disparate services, one tight deadline
Emaar is one of the world's largest property developers, known for iconic projects and for treating customer experience as part of the product. It wanted a single digital platform, Emaar One, to replace a set of property management services a customer had to reach in different ways.
Three constraints came with it: unify those services into one genuinely usable mobile experience, make features like service requests, payments and construction updates work properly rather than merely exist, and develop and launch inside a tight timeframe.
A unified app is an organisational problem before it is an interface problem. The deadline made that unavoidable.
The build
Two studios, one product mandate
Wow Labz collaborated with multiple internal teams at Emaar to define the product mandate and keep execution moving. That is the part that decides whether a unified app ships: the services being unified belong to different teams with different systems and release rhythms, and somebody has to hold the mandate across them.
The app was designed by Netbramha Studios. Wow Labz took product development, building the native iOS application. Splitting it that way is why the tight timeframe held.
What came out of it: a launch in record time against Emaar's deadline, customers managing properties without going through a service channel, and real-time updates plus digital handover replacing the parts of the journey that used to generate the most questions.
Key features
Five journeys, one app
Service request management
Raise, track and manage requests for ownership transfers, title deed registration, mortgages and more. FAQs and in-app chat sit alongside, with request history and draft saving so a long form survives an interruption.
Real-time construction updates
Quarterly progress updates with photos and video, plus push notifications on key milestones and handover timelines, so an owner is told rather than having to ask.
Digital handover
Paperless documentation and a step-by-step guided workflow through what is otherwise the most document-heavy moment of the relationship.
Home services and payments
Book home maintenance in the app, and pay for property-related transactions through secure online options.
Personalised notifications
Exclusive Emaar Group deals, and updates on upcoming sales launches and events, targeted rather than broadcast.
